How Strikethrough Unicode Text Works
This generator uses Unicode "combining characters" — special marks that attach to the character before them to draw a line through, under, or over it. Because the line is part of the character data itself rather than a formatting style applied on top, it survives being pasted into apps that strip rich-text formatting, like Instagram captions or plain-text form fields.
